Who this is for
The Creative Core is for artists, designers, writers, photographers, musicians, architects, creative entrepreneurs, students, makers, doers, thinkers and anyone committed to building creative work that lasts.
If you recognise that a sustainable creative career requires more than talent, inspiration or information alone, you are in the right place.
What you will find here
Talent and knowledge alone rarely translate into meaningful creative careers.
The Creative Core explores the foundations that shape your identity, influence your choices and determine your direction. It offers perspectives and systems that help you build a sustainable life as a creative.
As a creative, you are the medium through which your work comes into the world. Understanding yourself is therefore an essential part of developing your practice and career.
The right structures create the conditions in which creativity can flourish and a meaningful creative practice can endure.
Through psychology, philosophy and entrepreneurship, these essays develop a coherent thinking system rather than offering isolated tips or quick fixes. They are designed to help you understand not only what to do, but why you do what you do.
Over time, The Creative Core will grow into a resource of essays, practical frameworks and tools that you can return to throughout your creative career.
I hope this becomes a place where you can pause, think more deeply and build your creative life with greater clarity, intention and confidence.
Where to begin
If you are new, I recommend reading the Founding Essay first, followed by Essay #1, then simply continue in order. Together, they form the foundation of The Creative Core.
Every Sunday, one new essay will be ready for your inbox to help solve one more piece of the puzzle.
This publication is not meant to be a monologue. It grows through conversation. I would be interested to hear the questions you are carrying. Simply reply to any post or email.
I would be grateful if you would like to share more about your creative practice. Your answers in the reader survey will help shape future essays and the resources I develop over time:
See you soon
I am genuinely glad you are here and looking forward to building The Creative Core together with you.
Warm regards
